I still don't think realignment will be about conference expansion


It will be about generating more TV revenue by having more games between elite programs.
I think it evolves toward a divisions of the Power Conference schools, basicially based on revenue.

The good news for Hokies - Power 5 kicks out Wake and BC, as so many on this board have asked.

The bad news for Hokies - VT is on the chopping block due to notoriously piss poor fund raising. The cut line won't be based on on field performance, but on ability to generate revenue. It makes UNC and UVA more desirable to the new Power conference, as they can raise funds better than VT.
